Enyimba Off To Uganda For Friday’s Vipers Champions League Clash

—Warri Wolves Await Club Praia’s arrival for Sunday’s tie in Warri

Two-time CAF Champions League winners, Enyimba of Aba, will begin their quest for a third title in the continent’s premier club championship when they face Vipers FC pf Uganda on Friday.
The People’s Elephant will depart the shores of Nigeria Tuesday aboard an Ethiopian Airline plane.
Enyimba, winners of the Nigerian top flight seven times, will make the trip through the Enugu International Airport.
“The flight is scheduled to take off at 1pm. The team will be conveyed by Ethiopian Airline,” offers Enyimba Chairman, Felix Anyansi Agwu, an executive committee member of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Enyimba defender, Uwadiegwu Ugwu, enthused that the People’s Elephant will take the game seriously as if that is the only game to play before moving to the next stage.
“We’ve prepared well for this competition. We know the seriousness or importance of the game,” Ugwu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“Yes, it is the first leg but a good result there is all we need because every team is very strong these days.”
In the other CAF Champions League preliminary round match, second Nigeria representatives Warri Wolves will host Club Praia of Sao Tome & Principe on Sunday in Warri.
The Sao Tome club are expected in Nigeria on Thursday.
“The match will take here in Warri on Sunday. We’re expecting them on Thursday going by the communication we got from them,” Warri Wolves spokesman Azuka Chiamaka said.
