Enyimba Stars: Zamalek, Setif Don’t Scare Us

By Adeboye Amosu:

Enyimba players are upbeat on the chances of the club making it to the last four of the CAF Champions League despite being placed in a tough group that includes two of Africa’s top clubs, Zamelek of Egypt and Algerian side Entente Sportive Setif, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Also in the group is South African club, Mamelodi Sundowns, who replaced AS Vita Club of Democratic Republic of Congo who were disqualified by the Confederation of African Football for fielding an ineligible player in the earlier round.
“Zamalek and Setif are very good sides but we are not scared of them,” Enyimba skipper Chinedu Udoji told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“It’s going to be tough coming up against both teams but we sure have enough quality in the team to compete against them.
“We also have to take Sundowns seriously too. They may not be one of the big names in African football but we can’t still afford to underrate them.”
The Aba giants beat another North African side, Etoile du Sahel, in the second round to make it to the group stages of the competition.
That experience according to the team’s defensive midfielder, Kelly Kester, would prove vital the next round.
“We know what to expect against Zamalek and Setif having played Etoile du Sahel in the previous round,” Kester said.
“So, playing them will not a problem for us.”
