The battle to win the Glo Premier League title will be more intense as ever as the gladiators fight for crucial points once again this weekend.
Log leaders Enyimba will be looking to recover from last weekend's agonizing 2-1 loss to Oriental rivals, Heartland when they host Shooting Stars at home on Sunday.
With only three points separating them and second placed Warri Wolves, the People's Elephants know nothing but a win will aid their title aspiration. The reverse fixture ended in a barren draw.
Warri Wolves face a tough road trip to Enugu where they will come up against Rangers. The Seasiders picked a point in their last away fixture against Champions Kano Pillars and will look to their top scorer, Gbolahan Salami who netted a hat-trick in last weekend's 3-0 win against Sunshine Stars to deliver the goods once again.
Third placed Wikki Tourists will confront Sharks at the Sharks Stadium. The home side who are battling relegation will go all out for a win against their hosts who will also be desperate to avoid defeat to boost their title hopes.
Sharks have won their last three home games by 1-0 margin. Wikki boast of the second best away record in the league behind Enyimba as they have garnered 16 points on their travels.
In Kano, defending champions, Kano Pillars will entertain Sunshine Stars at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
Sunshine Stars will hope to bounce back from last Saturday's defeat to Warri Wolves and revive their fading title hopes when they come up against Sai Masu Gida on Sunday.
They will boosted by the return of their captain, Sunday Abe who had six- match suspension reduced by the League Management Company on Thursday.
Pillars have drawn their last three home games.
Giwa FC will continue their push for a continental ticket when they tackle relegation haunted Dolphins at the Rwang Pam Stadium. Previous encounter between the two sides have ended in a draw, but that result will not be good enough for both teams who have different ambitions.
Nasarawa United will travel to Oghara where they will tackle Bayelsa United in confident mood having picked vital points on their travels in recent weeks.
Taraba United who have a slim chance of escaping the drop will slug it with Heartland in Jalingo.
Lobi Stars who are without in a win from their last five games have a chance to end the drought when Kwara United hit the Ilorin Township Stadium.
FC IfeanyiUbah will take on El-kanemi Warriors in Nnewi, while Akwa United and Abia Warriors will do battle at the Godswil Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo in the last fixture of the day.
