Mfon Udoh has told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is open to a return to his former club, Akwa United.
Akwa United will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season after winning a historic first Federation Cup last season.
The Promise Keepers who recently appointed Belgian tactician Maurice Cooreman as their new head coach are also looking to bring back some of their old players to bolster their squad ahead of their debut campaign on the continent.
Udoh scored 16 goals for the Uyo-based outfit in the 2012/2013 season, before moving on to join Enyimba the following season, where he bagged 23 goals, the highest tally by any individual in a single season in the Nigerian top flight.
The forward hinted Completesportsnigeria.com that he is in talks with the club about a possible return, but stated nothing has been finalised yet.
“I’m open to making a return to Akwa United,” Udoh revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
“They (Akwa United) have already contacted me, but we are yet to reach a concrete agreement on the move.
“They still have to talk with my club (Enyimba) as I can’t move without their consent.”
