Tottenham youngster, Dele Alli who has a Nigerian father, has expressed his delight after finally making his Premier League debut against Manchester United in the season opener.
However, it was not a debut to remember for the midfielder as Manchester United won 1-0 after a Kyle Walker own goal in the 22nd minute.
The 19-year-old, who joined Spurs from MK Dons, replaced Eric Dyer on 77 minutes but got booked one minute into added time.
Reacting after the game, Alli who expressed sadness after the loss, stated that attention will now be on their next game.
“Delighted to have made my Premier League debut today, gutted about the result though! Onto the next game now,” he wrote on Twitter.
Spurs will welcome Stoke City at White Hart Lane next weekend.
