Ex-International, Etim Esin has tipped Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyema to win the BBC African Footballer of the Year.

The 31-year old Lille FC of France goalkeeper has been shortlisted alongside current holder Yaya Toure, Gervinho, Pierre- Emerick Aubemeyang and Yacine Brahimi.

‘’He deserves it and I wish him best of luck, if you look at the list, he is the only goalkeeper there and that is a great feat and a lesson to other Nigerian goalkeepers,” says Etim.

Etim also hopes Nigeria qualifies for the AFCON 2015. The Eagles have two crucial games against Congo and South Africa and team coached by Coach Stephen Keshi is expected to win both to stand a chance of defending the title they won in South Africa.

’’We have to be optimistic here and pray to win, we play Congo first and then come to Uyo to face the impressive South Africa but I am sure that we are capable of winning both matches,”
“We must improve on our goal scoring ability and try not to make stupid mistakes.
