Nigerian midfielder Anderson Esiti believes Gent must win all four of their remaining Belgian Pro League games to stand a chance of winning the title, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Gent are currently five points behind league leaders Anderlecht and one behind second-placed Club Brugge.
The Buffaloes resume their campaign this Sunday with an away clash against KV Oostende who also are targeting a Europa League spot.
"We’re in third place so I think the only objective we need to set for ourselves is winning the matches we have left and then what will be will be," Esiti said in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It’s not just down to us. Even if we do win all four games games, that doesn’t mean we’ll be champions, others like Anderlecht and Club Brugge must slip as well but what does depend on us is winning those remaining games."
Esiti who missed Gent's last draw against Anderlecht has featured 23 times this season.
Gent also parade Nigerians Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong and Samuel Kalu.
