Etebo: Las Palmas Will March On Despite Defeat To Sevilla

By James Agberebi: Nigeria midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has played down struggling Las Palmas’ 2-1 home defeat to Sevilla in Saturday’s Spanish LaLiga clash, reports.
Etebo made his third straight start for Las Palmas since joining them on loan from Portuguese top flight side Feirense in January.

Also in action for Las Palmas was his Nigerian teammate Imoh Ezekiel who made his debut as a second-half substitute.

Wissam Ben Yedder (35th minute) and Pablo Sarabia (50th minute) gave Sevilla a 2-0 lead before Jonathan Calleri pulled a goal back for Las Palmas from the penalty spot on 82 minutes.

Etebo praised Las Palmas fans for their support in the course of the game.

“Not the result we wanted but we will march on. Yesterday was a very close game and our supporters were amazing once again,” Etebo wrote on Twitter.

Las Palmas are currently in the 18th position on 18 points in the league table.
