Etebo Not Involved As Ajayi, Agu, Okechukwu Join Super Eagles Training

Etebo Not Involved As Ajayi, Agu, Okechukwu Join Super Eagles Training

By James Agberebi:

Las Palmas midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo is a doubt for the Super Eagles friendly against Serbia in London on Tuesday after sitting out the team’s first training session on Sunday.

According to the Super Eagles verified Twitter handle, Etebo who missed the game against Poland on Friday due to injury, did not join the rest of his teammates as he may not have recovered fully.

But the trio of Junior Ajayi, Gabriel Okechukwu and Mikel Agu who also missed Friday’s friendly, were part of the practice session on Sunday.

“Our first training session at the Barnet FC Stadium in London went smoothly. New arrivals Junior Ajayi, Gabriel Okechukwu, Mikel Agu were actively involved but Oghenekaro Etebo was on the sidelines,” the Super Eagles handle explained on Sunday.

I mean another game changer and creative midfielder?
    I suggested Kelechi Nwakali, maybe?
Where in the world can we find another #9?
Why not try Fernando Adi? He might turn out to be another Bright Dike for the SE.
Co.e on we need improvements in these two areas.

I agree. Not a bad idea for Rohr to give him a chance at the National team. If he can give Nwekeme a chance, he should also give Adi same to prove himself. We need the best legs and best bench in every department.

Coach Rorh should invite that guy Adi in our next friendly match. Let’s see what he can offer to the Eagles attack.

I have been begging Couch Rohr to invite Adi to join our National team. You can never compare him to Ighalo. Rohr can never have Adi and still complain of having no striker in the National team. This guy is the best striker in U.S at the moment. The U.S. former National Couch personally recommended Adi to Rohr. Enough said.

Coach Rohr, please give Fanendo Adi a chance to boost the Nigerian attack further with another option. This will increase competition for the striker spots and further help bring out the best in strikers like Ighalo. Despite the fact that he plays in the US major league soccer, Fanendo is a ruthless box to box player and finisher who will add quality to the Super eagles attack as confirmed by former US world cup winning player & coach-Juergen Klinsmann of Germany. Nigeria will still play some more friendlies before the world cup and he should please be given a chance to show what he can potentially do for the Super Eagles in Russia. He might just be the missing link in attack or at least another alternative and strong competition for Ighalo and company.
