Former Nigerian international Emmanuel Emenike made a return to Fenerbahce's starting 11 but couldn't prevent them from losing 1-0 to Russian club FC Krasnodar in the first leg of their round of 32 Europa League tie on Thursday.
The only goal of the game was scored by Viktor Claesson in the fourth minute.
Emenike was replaced by Fernandao in the 72nd minute
Fenerbahce will hope to overturn the 1-0 deficit when they host FC Krasnodar in the return leg in Turkey next Thursday.
Emenike's last game for Fenerbahce was in December 2016 in a 1-1 draw against Amed SK in the Turkish Cup.
He has scored three goals in 11 appearances for Fenerbahce this campaign.
