Ezekiel Henty is looking forward to Osijek’s Europa League second qualifying round after making his debut for the Croatian club in their 2-1 win over Petrocub of Moldova reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Henty played the entire duration of the win having a hand in the winner scored by Borna Barisic.
Robert Mudrazija gave Osijek the lead in the 16th minute but parity was restored in the 61st minute when Vladimir Ambros struck from the spot. Borna Barisic sealed Osijek’s place in the next round finishing off a brillian buildup play from Henty five minutes later to send the Croatian side through on a 3-2 aggregate win.
“First game, first win. It was an amazing welcome from the fans.I’m happy we won and I’m confident we will build on this win,” Henty told CSN.
“Looking forward to the next game against Rangers.”
The first leg will take place in Croatia next Thursday, with the return a week later at Ibrox.
Rangers advanced after beating Macedonians Shkupi 2-0 on aggregate.
