Nosa Igiebor was on target for Maccabi Tel Aviv who qualified for the next round of the UEFA Europa League competition defeating Romanian side Pandurii 2-1 on the night to advance 5-2 on aggregate, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The former Israeli champions held a commanding 3-1 lead from the first leg tie in Romania last week before sealing the win in the second leg.
Igiebor scored the opener for the former Israeli champions in the 24th minute when he fired home a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner which was cancelled out by Marian Pleasca in the 57th minute.
Former Chelsea star Yossi Benayoun sealed the win for Maccabi Tel Aviv with ten minute left to play.
In Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, Vincent Enyeama's heroics fell flat as Lille lost 1-0 to Qabala on the night to crash 2-1 aggregates.
Lille had been held to a 1-1 draw at home in last week's first leg but Filip Ozobic got the only goal in the 34th minute for Qabala, who finished third in the Azerbaijan Premier League last season to advance to the play-offs.
Both sides will find out who they face in the play-off tie in Friday morning’s draw.
