Nigerian forward, Philip Azango, was on target for Slovakian club, AS Trencin who beat Gornik Zabrze of Poland 4-1 in the second leg of their Europa League, second qualifying round clash at the Futbalovy Stadion, Myjava on Thursday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
AS Trencin qualified for the next round on 5-1 aggregate win having ealier won the first leg 1-0 with Azango, who once played for Nigeria Professional Football League club, Nasarawa United scoring the winner.
Azango scored AS Trencin’s fourth goal in the 59th minute and was replaced by Osmane Bakari four minutes from time.
Two other Nigerian, Reuben Yem and Abdul Zubairu were also involved from start to finish in the game.
Emeka Umeh, the other Nigerian at the club was an unused substitute in the game.
The duo of Daniel Chima and Leke James were in action as their Norway club, Molde beat Albanian side Laci, 2-0 to progress 6-0 on aggregate.
Chima started the game and was replaced by James who was on target for Molde in the first leg.
