Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme was on target for Hapoel Be’er Sheva who lost 2-1 to Besiktas and crashed out 5-2 on aggregate in the second leg, round 32 of the Europa League on Thursday night, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Nwakaeme scored in the 64th minute to make it 1-1.

Cameroon 2017 Africa Cup of Nations hero Vincent Aboubakar gave Besiktas the lead on 17 minutes while Cenk Tosun got Besiktas’ second goal on 87 minutes.

Also in action for Hapoel Be’er Sheva was Nigeria midfielder John Ogu.

At the Rome Olympic Stadium, 10-man Roma lost 1-0 to Villarreal but progress into the round of 16 4-1 on aggregate.

Villarreal’s goal was scored by Rafael Santos Borre in the 16th minute.

German defender Antonio Rudiger was sent off on 81 minutes for Roma.

And in other second leg Europa League round of 32 games on Thursday night, Ajax pipped Legia Warszawa 1-0 to qualify 1-0 on aggregate, Apoel Nicosia defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-0 and advanced on 4-3 aggregate, while Anderlecht progressed into the next round despite losing 3-1 to Zenit St. Petersburg as they qualified on away goals rule after winning the first leg 2-0.
