Super Eagles forward Moses Simon was an unused substitute as his Belgian club Gent qualified for the next round of the UEFA Europa League following their last-gasp 1-0 away win against Konyaspor on matchday 6 in Group H.

Simon's Nigerian teammate Anderson Esiti was introduced in the second half while Rabiu Ibrahim was benched for Gent.

Gent needed an outright victory against Konyaspor and had to wait till the 90th minute through Kalifa Coulibaly's goal to advance.

With the results, both Shakhtar Donetsk (18 points) and Gent (eight points) qualify for the next round.

Braga finished third on six points while Konyaspor were bottom on just one point.

In Group L Nigerian forward Aminu Umar was introduced with 16 minutes left as his club Osmanlispor beat visiting FC Zurich 2-0 to qualify as group leaders with 10 points.

Spanish side Villarreal who defeated visiting Steau Bucuresti 2-1 qualified alongside Osmanlispor after finishing on nine points.

Both FC Zurich and Steau Bucuresti crashed out.

And in Group J Fiorentina finished as group leaders following their 2-1 away win against Qarabag.

Fiorentina ended the group phase on 13 points.

In second position is Greek side Paok Thessaloniki who beat Slovan Liberec 2-0 in Greece.
