SL10.ng has reported that English Premier League side Everton have ended their interest in Nigeria international, Ramon Azeez.
Representatives of the Almeria youngster had been in contact with the power brokers at The Tofffees before the start of the 2014 World Cup regarding a summer move for the central midfielder.
Ramon Azeez was proposed to Everton as well as teams in France and Spain, not limited to Monaco and Atletico Madrid, but after failing to make any impact at the just concluded tournament, his suitors pulled the plug on his signing.
The Everton hierarchy had planned to send Ramon Azeez a contract offer if he had justified in Brazil that the key role he played for Almeria over the course of last season was not a flash in the pan.
This is not the first time the 21-year-old’s proposed move to the English Premier League has broken down.
After winning the Bronze Ball as the third best player at the 2009 FIFA Under 17s, Azeez had successful trials at both Manchester City and Manchester United, but a move failed to materialise due to work permit issues.
The former Future Pro Academy starlet flew back to Spain on Sunday night to resume pre-season training at Almeria.
