By David Meshioye: After his club’s 3-0 win over Pirin Blagoevgrad over the weekend, Lokomotiv Plovdiv defender Stephen Eze is delighted after a successful debut at his Bulgarian top flight club.
Lokomotiv Plovdiv signed the Home Eagles star at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) on a two-year deal in January.
The former Kano Pillars defender described his debut as fantastic and lauded his teammates for digging deep to bag a win over their league rivals. The 23-year-old who moved to Kano Pillars on loan prior to the commencement of the 2017-18 season represented Sunshine Stars, Lobi Stars and FC IfeanyiUbah in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
He further showered encomiums on the club fans for their unalloyed support during the match, as the CHAN 2018 silver-winning defender continues to settle down to a new life in the Bulgarian league.
“It felt fantastic to make my debut today (Sunday) and even better to have three points in the bag, well done to my teammates and a big thanks to the fans for making it a very special debut,” Eze tweeted.
