Popular BBC football pundit and former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur forward Garth Crooks says Chelsea don’t need to sign a wing-back in the summer transfer window thanks to the form of Victor Moses.
Moses initially was out-of-favour under Antonio Conte before becoming a key player in the Italian’s team following their switch to 3-4-3 formation.
The 26-year-old has scored three goals and has made five assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League this season.
And Crooks, a UEFA Cup and two times FA Cup winner with Tottenham, believes Moses has established himself as Chelsea’s long-term wing-back on the right side of their midfield.
“Moses has become such a firm fixture in Chelsea’s title challenge that it’s hard to see how manager Antonio Conte can improve in that area,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
Crooks expressed belief that with Chelsea are now very close to winning the Premier League title this season following their convincing 3-0 win against Everton at Gooddison Park on Sunday.
“If the victory over Everton is any indication then the Chelsea celebrations after the game suggested the title has been won. Or at least they have got over what they considered to be the most difficult part of their run-in," he added.
On Monday, Crooks included Moses in his Premier League Team of the Week on Monday.
Chelsea are top in the league table on 81 points, four points ahead of second-placed Tottenham.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
