Former Super Falcons defender, Ayisat Yusuf-Aromire will be one of the six panelists to speak at a conference hosted by Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) network billed for Berlin on Tuesday, June 6, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The former Delta Queens and the Capital Queens player played for Nigeria at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China, the 2007 All African Games in Algeria, and the 2004 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Yusuf-Aromire currently works with the migrants’ women sports federation in Finland as a member of board since 2013-2014 and Mondial Stars migrant women football groups.
The conference will hold at the Hotel Catalonia Mitte, Berlin and will focus on topics including women's football as a social development tool; the situation of professional players; the representation of women in leadership and management positions; and the challenges of sexism in football.
Aside Yusuf-Aromire other panelists will include: Paola Ottonello of the European Commission Sport Unit; Friederike Faust, Discover Football; Caitlin Fisher, a former professional player in the US; Vladimir Dolgiy-Rapoport of the Moscow Girl Power club; Canadian activist Shireen Ahmed; and Jacco van Sterkenburg, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Feli Rauch (tbc) and Turbine Potsdam, the biggest women’s club in Germany.
