The Super Eagles had their first official training session on Tuesday in Essentuki, Russia, since arriving on Monday for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The team’s first training session was confirmed in a short video clip published on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Twitter account.
Hundreds of of Russian football fans were present to watch the Super Eagles training, as the clip shows.
“Essentuki and its people turn up for @NGSuperEagles’ first training ahead of Croatia #WorldCup clash,” the NFF tweeted.
The Super Eagles will also train on Wednesday before departing their base for Kaliningrad on Thursday for their first Group D match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup which comes up against Croatia on Saturday at the 35,000-capacity Kaliningrad Arena.
The Eagles will also face debutants Iceland and Argentina in Group D.
