Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has warned the side not to get complacent in their quest to make it to the 2018 World Cup in Russia despite their impressive start in the qualifying series, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The three-time African champions maintained top position in Group B of the qualifiers following an impressive 3-1 win against Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
Gernot Rohr's men have now opened up a four point lead in the group and will host Cameroon at home in their next fixture.
The FC IfeanyiUbah goalie however charges Super Eagles must continue to give their best until they claim the World Cup ticket.
"We are so delighted with the win against Algeria. Everyone is happy, but we have to realise it is not far from over," the former Sunshine Stars goal tender tells Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We have six points from two games which is good for us. The spirit in camp is high and must not get complacent in the remaining matches.
" If we continue this way, I don't see us not making it to Russia."
