Ezuruike: We’re Not Afraid Of Enyimba

Dolphins defender, Victor Ezuruike has said emphatically that his side will bench Federation Cup holders, Enyimba.

The Garden City side will clash with the 2013/14 Glo Premier League runners-up in the 2014 Federation Cup final billed for the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Sunday.

The Port Harcourt based side piped Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Prime FC 1-0 in the semifinals in Abuja while the Peoples Elephant achieved same mark against Nigerian topflight newcomers, Giwa FC in Abeokuta to pave the way for the grand finale on Sunday.

Ezuruike said his side are not contented with the Confederation Cup ticket already in their kitty, even before the Cup final but will go all out to overrun Enyimba for the title.

“We’ll certainly come back to Port Harcourt with the Federation Cup trophy, we may have already earned a ticket to Africa by default but we want to prove to everyone that we ably deserved the Confederation Cup ticket with a resounding victory against holders, Enyimba, on Sunday in Lagos.

“We need the Cup title badly as it’s sure to fetch us lots of goodies as well as etch our names in gold.

“It’s going to be an explosive match but we’ll always come out of the epic clash victorious, I think we’ve the magic wand to lord it over Enyimba.

“I understand that Enyimba have arrived at Ijebu Ode for the past three days, putting finishing touches for the game but that will count for nothing as we’re destined to win this year’s Federation Cup title.

“We’ve done our home work perfectly well and are merely waiting for match day to unleash our weight on Enyimba.

“It’ll be an entertaining and interesting encounter but Dolphins will surely emerge winners,” said the former Heartland captain and strongman to supersport.com.
