Alex Iwobi made his second substitute Emirates FA Cup appearance of the season for Arsenal who booked a place in the last 16 with a 5-0 win over Southampton on Saturday at the Saint Marys' Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Nigerian international replaced Jeff Reine-Adelaide in the 71st minute of the encounter.
Theo Wallcot scored an hat-trick and Danny Welbeck bagged a brace for the Gunners in the encounter. It was Welbeck's first start in 265 days and his first ever brace in an Emirates FA Cup game.
Welbeck finished off a slick pass from Lucas Perez in the box to give the visitors the lead on 15 minutes. He doubled the lead seven minutes later, latching on to a long pass from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The returning forward turned provider for his compatriot Walcott who made it 3-0 in the 35th minute for the Gunners with an easy tap-in from close range to avenge their EFL Cup exit against the Saints.
Southampton, missing eight first team players for the game after edging Liverpool 2-0 on aggregate in Wednesday's EFL semi-final clash, were second best all through the encounter.
Shane Long had two decent chances to hand Southampton a chance back into the game but he failed to connect his header on those occassions.
Walcott made it 4-0 with another easy tap-in, this time with Alexis Sanchez providing the assist for the 26-year- old in the 69th minute.
He completed his hat-trick by finishing off another fine pass from Sanchez in the 84th minute.
