Falconets striker, Loveth Ayila has revealed that the several mistakes made in Thursday’s 2-1 win over England gave the team the impetus to bounce back to win.
Nigeria came from a goal down to secure the decisive win in the encounter, after Nikita Parris clipped a shot past the advancing Nigeria goalkeeper Ibijoke Sangonuga from the edge of the box.
And Ayila who restored parity for the Coach Dedevbo team, however urged her teammates to train harder as they prepare for their fifth consecutive quarter-final match against New Zealand on Sunday.
“We are very happy to have beaten England, we will intensify our training as we set our eyes on the trophy,” she said echoing the sentiments of her team mates.
“When they scored first we felt bad, but later we played as a team, like one that had not conceded a goal, and it paid off,” Ayila continued.
Ayila who was named Player of the Match, has scored only one goal in three games in the on going tournament.
