Allwell Nwakali, elder brother cum guardian of Nigerian youngster, Kelechi Nwakali has said that Nwakali family and the player's academy were not induced with money by anybody before accepting Arsenal's offer for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015 winning Golden Eaglets captain and Most Valuable Player, MVP, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
European football super powers like Udinese of Italy, Olympiacos of Greece and Ajax of Amsterdam, Netherlands showed interest in the Nigerian starlet before he settled for the North London side, Arsenal.
But speculation went wide in the week that officials of Nwakali’s academy were induced financially into rejecting other offers and accepting the Gunners offer.
"It is absolutely wrong then for anybody to insinuate that money was used to sway our decision," the senior Nwakali fired.
"Arsenal are known to have a good program for young players. They develop young stars and enhance their careers, and the records are there for anyone to see and admit that we made the right and honourable choice.”
He thanked the agent who pulled the successful trigger in seeing the deal through.
"Unfortunately, the agent who did not perform, who was more concerned with what goes into his pocket first is now spreading falsehood that we received financial inducement in order to accept Arsenal offer," Nwakali senior said.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
