Fanendo Adi Fights Off Distractions From Transfer Talks

By Adeboye Amosu:

Portland Timbers and Super Eagles forward, Fanendo Adi says he is unperturbed by talks over his future at the MLS, reports

The Portland Timbers player has been linked with English Premier League sides, West Ham United and Crystal Palace in recent weeks.

Adi who has hit the back of the net seven times in eight appearances for Timbers this season and was recently voted Major League Soccer Player of the Month for April, insists he is concentrated on playing for his current club at the moment.

"It's good to have interest from other clubs, but as a player, you just have to stay humble and very focussed because when you get those things in your head, it distracts you a lot, the former Ukraine- based striker tells

"For me, I will try to keep my head screwed on and focus on the next game.

"I'm still here and until those offers come true. So far we don't know anything going on."
