Fans of Championship club Wolverhampton picked Super Eagles goalkeeper Carl Ikeme as their outstanding player despite their 2-1 away loss to Burton Albion on Saturday.
Ikeme, who returned to Wolves' first team after serving a two-match ban, couldn't prevent his side from going down 2-1.
But despite the defeat, some of the fans according to expressandstar.com, believed Ikeme was Wolves' best player on the pitch.
Reacting to the defeat, Chris Hughes said Ikeme is the only one who deserves credit from Wolves players.
"Very few played well. Ikeme made some excellent stops to deny (Michael) Kightly on more than one occasion and to get down well to stop a deflected effort in the second half.
"Other than him the outfield 10 showed little to warrant the faith the manager (Paul Lambert) showed in keeping them involved after their Cup exploits."
Rob Cartwright picked Ikeme as his man of the match.
"No one deserves a 7+ for this game. (Conor) Coady and (Matt) Doherty did okay, (Nouha) Dicko ran and ran and his one good scoring chance was kept out by a great save," he said.
"The midfield were all woeful. (Helder) Costa had an 'off' day with the exception of his well taken penalty. Weimann was anonymous on the left.
"My man of the match goes to Ikeme who made two notable saves.
On his part, Russ Cockburn says aside from Ikeme's display, there was nothing much to be excited about in the game.
"Ikeme made some decent saves so I’d probably give it him, there wasn’t much else to choose from to be honest."
