No fear For Whyte In Chisora Rematch

Dillian Whyte claims he does not have “an ounce of fear” about facing Dereck Chisora in a heavyweight rematch on December 22.

The second fight was finally confirmed to take place at London’s O2 Arena two years after an enthralling scrap between the pair in Manchester which ended with Whyte claiming victory via a split-decision.

Whyte has since gone on to pick up notable wins against former heavyweight champions Lucas Browne and Joseph Parker respectively to put himself in the frame for a world title fight against Anthony Joshua.

However, after 34-year-old Chisora pulled off a stunning eighth-round stoppage of Carlos Takam in July, a rematch with Whyte has been brewing.

Looking ahead to the showdown, 30-year-old Whyte said: “This will be Chisora’s last fight, the donkey’s last ride. “I think that he needs to really have a good think about taking this fight. I believe that I’ll knock him out in devastating fashion this time.”

He added: “You can’t intimidate me Dereck, I’m not scared. You threw a table [before the first fight] and it didn’t bother me. “There’s not an ounce of fear here. I have a bit of respect, I’m an animal lover.”

Chisora, who has recently taken on former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye as his manager, said: “I’m not messing, I’m not playing at boxing. Dillian has spent the last two years avoiding getting back in the ring with me. “I will be stepping in the ring a different fighter. I have everything to prove and it all to lose.”
