Federation Cup: Prime Knock Out Pillars; 3SC, Sunshine, Wikki Advance

Kano Pillars have been knocked out of the Federation Cup following a shocking 2-1 loss to National League side, Prime FC of Osogbo, at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja on Wednesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Omoluabi Boys stunned the former Nigeria Professional Football League champions with two first half goals by Olabisi Olagunju and Lekan Oseolohun in the 26th and 34th minutes respectively.

Super Eagles midfielder Ifeanyi Matthew reduced the deficit for Pillars in the 46th minute, but the Sai Masu Gida failed to bounce back after the break and continue their search for a first Federation Cup title.
At the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi, Rivers United continued their impressive form as they beat National League side Kaduna United 4-0.
The Port Harcourt-based club's Ivorian import  Guy Kuemian opened scoring in the 20th minute and doubled his side's advantage five minutes before the break.
Stanley Eguma's side scored two further goals in the second half through Chinonso Okonkwo  and Nonso Okafor.
Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan progressed into the round of 16 of the competition  for the first time in five  years following a  3-0  victory against Almar FC at the Agege Stadium.
Sunday Adetunji scored a first half brace.
In Oleh, Sunshine Stars defeated Abia Comets 4-2 on penalties after regulation time ended in a 1-1 draw.
Abia Comets led  the game at half time, but Dayo Ojo converted a spot kick in the 53rd minute after Dele Olorundare was brought down in the area.
The match went into a penalty shoot-out after both sides failed to find a winner after 90 minutes.
Last season's finalists Lobi Stars lost 1-0 to FC IfeanyiUbah at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
Former Kano Pillars forward, Bello Kofarmata, scored the winner from close range in the 53rd minute  following a well taken cross by Okereke Maduabuchi.
Wikki Tourists also edged out Kogi United 2-1 in Kaduna.
Mubarak Umar put Wikki ahead in the 23rd minute.
John Jerome brought Kogi United level 10 minutes from time, while a lack of communication inside the National League side box gifted Sabo Idris the chance to score the winner for Wikki three minutes from time.
