Roger Federer secured the 99th ATP title of his career after defeating Marius Copil in straight sets to clinch the Swiss Indoors crown. The Swiss world number three, who won the tournament in his home city of Basel for the first time back in 2006, didn’t have it all of his own way against the Romanian world number 93 on Sunday having been a break down in each set.

However, Federer recovered to win the first set on the tie-break and then stormed back from 3-0 down in the second to wrap up a 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 victory in an hour and 34 minutes.
Speaking after his ninth Swiss Indoors title win, Federer said: “For those who do not speak such good German and Swiss-German, thank you very much for coming. Thanks for supporting me this week.
“It’s been a magical week for me and I can’t thank you enough.
“It was a dream run for me so thank you everybody for coming out.”
The 37-year-old 20-time Grand Slam champion has the opportunity to win his 100th title at next week’s Paris Masters, although both Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will be competing in that tournament.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
