Spain forward Fernando Torres has confirmed that he will be joining Japanese outfit Sagan Tosu following his exit from Atletico Madrid.
According to a report on Sportsmole.co.uk, Torres left his boyhood club for a second time at the end of the season and has now decided to leave Europe for the first time with a venture to the J League.
The 34-year-old will now link up with the modest club for the up coming season.
Sagan Tosu was formed just 21 years ago and have spent the past six seasons in the Japanese top flight following their promotion in 2011.
Sagan Tosu’s highest ever league finish was fifth place in 2012 and 2014, while last season they finished eighth in the league and once again missed out on a first trophy in the club’s history.
Torres, meanwhile, has won almost every major honour in the game, including the World Cup, European Championships twice, Champions League and two Europa League titles.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker has scored 256 goals in 728 games during his career, more than 400 of which achieved as Atletico Madrid player.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
