Nigeria’s D’Tigress Group B opponents Mozambique have named four new players in their 12-player final squad to feature at the 2017 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket which will be held from August 18 to August 27 in Mali, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The new players in the squad are Chanaya Pinto, Aquila Mucubaquine, Catia Halar and Anabela Cossa while coach Nasir Sale kept faith with three players from the last squad to the African Championship 2015 in Cameroon.
Mozambique will open their Group B campaign on Friday against Nigeria before taking on reigning champions Senegal, Egypt, DR Congo and Guinea respectively.
The finalists at the 12-team 2017 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket will represent Africa at 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain.
Anabela Cossa, Leia Dongue, Catia Halar, Eleuteria Lhavanguane,Odelia Mafanela and Amelia Massingue.
