FIFA Clears Sarki For Haiti National Team

Nigeria-born Wisla Krakow forward and for Nigeria’s U17 World Cup player, Emmanuel Sarki has been cleared by FIFA to feature for Haiti national team according to a report on africanfootball.com.

The right winger will therefore debut for Haiti in a game against Chile on September 9, 2014, in Fort Lauderdale in the United States of America.

At a time, Sarki was so highly rated as to be on the payroll of Chelsea alongside Mikel Obi. But he eventually did not make the grade in England, forcing him to try his luck in Belgium and Israel before he finally settled down in Poland with Wisla Krakow.

Sarki was born on December 26, 1987, in Kaduna, Nigeria.

He played for Nigeria at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Finland in 2003, but never played for the senior national team which made it possible for him to obtain clearance to represent Haiti, where his great-grandparents came from.

FIFA have already rejected an application by Romania to cap former U20 Nigeria striker Kehinde Fatai.
