–FG, NFF get July 17 to withdraw case from court
World’s football governing body, FIFA has extended the deadline date for Nigeria’s ban tothe 17th of July following the strike action of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria in Nigeria,Complete Sports can report.
The FIFA Emergency Committee suspended Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) last week with immediate effect, on account of government interference but have now received a reprieve from FIFA to correct the anomalies in the running of the round leather game before the stipulated deadline date.
The suspension according to FIFA will be lifted once the court actions have been withdrawn and the properly elected NFF Executive Committee, the NFF general assembly and the NFF administration are able to work without any interference in their affairs.
The strike embarked upon by JUSUN only cuts across all the 36 states of the federation.
