By Johnny Edward:
Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru could make his first appearance for Anderlecht against Standard Liege at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on Thursday evening, four months after suffering a knee injury in December, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Onyekuru made Anderlecht’s substitutes bench on Sunday in their 2-1 win over Club Brugge in a Belgian Pro League playoffs 1 game after featuring in two reserve matches.
“The late goal Anderlecht conceded denied Onyekuru a chance to play against Club Brugge on Sunday,” a source close to the player told CSN.
“He (Onyekuru) expects to get some minutes against Standard Liege on Thursday to build his confidence to stand a chance to compete for a World Cup place in the Siper Eagles squad.”
Onyekuru was impressive at the initial stage of his loan move to Anderlecht, netting 10 times in 28 games.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
