Nigeria U-20s captain to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand in June, Musa Mohammed, has finally landed a deal in Europe.
The Flying Eagles media officer, Samm Audu, revealed on Thursday via Twitter that Mohammed signed a three-year deal with Turkish top flight club Istanbul Basaksehir.
Mohammed's new club finshed an impressive fourth in the Super Lig last season and will play in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League in the 2015/2016 season.
Mohammed had been linked with a European move for long and fell out with Nigeria U-23s coach Samson Siasia over his European ambitions.
The right-sided defender was said to have left the U-23s camp, then preparing for a key qualifier, for club trials in Europe without permission.
He was however recalled by Siasia after the U-20 World Cup.
