By James Agberebi:
Flying Eagles keeper Joshua Enaholo has stated that they are not fazed facing Brazil at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
The Flying Eagles will open their campaign in New Zealand against Brazil before facing North Korea and Hungary.
Speaking on Top Sports, on Top Radio, Enaholo said they’ve been hoping to meet Brazil and that their dream now is to win the U-20 World Cup for the first time.
“We’ve been expecting to play against Brazil. We are not afraid of them. All we know is to beat our opponents, that is what our coaches instilled in us and Brazil is not an exception.
“There is no pressure in the team, we are going to New Zealand to bring the trophy home for the very first time.”
Recounting on the Africa Youth Championship which the Flying Eagles won, Enaholo said their toughest game was against the Black Satellite of Ghana.
“Our game against Ghana was the most difficult. They are a very good side with talented players. Also, what made it difficult for us was because of the rivalry that exist between Nigeria and Ghana.”
The last time the Flying Eagles played against Brazil was at the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Holland. The game ended goalless.
