Flying Eagles goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo says he is now a relieved man after his side progressed to the round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
The youngster was criticised for his woeful performance in Nigeria's opening game defeat to Brazil but has redeeemed himself in his side's last two games against North Korea and Hungary.
One of his most important contributions was the raking throw he delivered in the match against Hungary which travelled almost to the edge of the opposition box before being seized on by Taiwo Awoniyi, who finished clinically in order to double Nigeria's lead in the encounter.
He said he was particularly dejected after the first game but was determined to his doubters wrong.
''After the Brazil match, I was in a really bad state. I was desperate to make amends. I challenged myself to do better throughout the rest of the competition,'' he told FIFA.com.
