Newport County boss Mike Flynn is hoping he can secure a loan extension for Cardiff City forward Mark Harris. The Welsh club secured Harris’ signature during the summer but he only joined on a deal until January.
However, the 19-year-old has helped Newport reach the play-off places ahead of Christmas and Flynn is eager to do another deal.

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock is open to the idea of loaning him back out and a move could be finalised at the start of next month.
Confirming his intentions to keep Harris and Bristol City duo Cameron Pring and Tyreeq Bakinson, Flynn told the BBC: “We’ve had talks about extending those loans… I’ve spoken to both clubs and I’m quietly confident. “I never jump the gun but it seems positive at the moment. “They’ve been very supportive and hopefully we’ll have some news as soon as possible.”
