Fortuna Sittard's Nigerian manager, Sunday Oliseh, has signed Michael Malsa from French third division side US Avranches on a three year deal, Completesportsnigeria.com report.
The 21-year-old French defensive midfield becomes Fortuna Sittard's fourth summer signing after André Vidigal from Portuguese side Académica, Kai Heerings from Bundesliga 3 side FC 08 Homburg and Wessel Dammers from Feyenoord joined the club.
Oliseh who is also seeking further reinforcements in attack is in talks with an unnamed young Nigerian striker.
"They are gradually getting into shape for the new season, but we need to be fully prepared in terms of personnel as well," Oliseh told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We are in talks with a NIgerian forward as we speak and we hope to get his response before the end of this week."
Fortuna will take on United Arab Emirate side, Al-Jazira on Friday in Susteren, a city in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Echt-Susteren, about 7 km northwest of Sittard.
Fortuna Sittard finished 17th in the Dutch second division log last season.
They will kick off their Eerste Divisie (second division) campaign with a home game against Dordrecht on the 8th of August, 2017.
