Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has revealed that Nigerian forward Sone Aluko is a doubt in their away game against Ipswich on Saturday in the English Championship.
Jokanovic said Aluko has a hip problem which could rule him out of this weekend’s game.
“(Floyd) Ayite won’t be ready and Sone has a hip problem and we’ll assess him to see if he can play,” Jokanovic said in his press conference on Thursday.
Fulham are yet to secure their first league win of the season after four games and Jokanovic admitted that his side are struggling but they must continue to give their best hoping to get a positive result against Ipswich.
“Ipswich is our seventh game in 21 days. I had a chance to give important players a rest in the Cup,” he added.
“Ipswich have had very good results. They built a style and identity many years ago.
“There’s no need to panic. At this moment, we’re not at our best level. We must play with optimism and confidence to improve.”
He added: “Ipswich are very agressive and organised. At the moment, Mick McCarthy’s plans are working perfect.
“Whenever we encounter a problem, we try to fix it on the training ground. We must be more focused and clinical.”
Fulham are currently 19th on three points in the 24-team league table.
Aluko has played four league games for Fulham so far this season without a goal to his name.
