Kano Pillars forward, Gambo Mohammed, says it will be a great honour to play alongside former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo at the club, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Yobo, who was capped 101 times by Nigeria, has signed for the four- time Nigeria Professional Football champions as part of the League Management Company Elite Scheme programme.
The 35- year-old defender is in line to make his debut for the Sai Masu Gida in a midweek fixture against Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure next Wednesday.
The Pyramid City side beat the likes of FC IfeanyiUbah, Akwa United and Wikki Tourists for his services.
Gambo told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is looking forward to playing in the same team with the one of the legends of Nigerian football.
"Joseph Yobo is someone I admire a lot and it will be a great priviledge to play alongside him for Kano Pillars," the striker told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Everyone at the club is keen to see him train and play in the league for us.
"I know our supporters are excited about this too and you can expect a fully packed Sani Abacha Stadium when he makes his home debut."
