By James Agberebi:
Coach of the Flying Eagles to the just concluded FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, Manu Garba, has told completesportsnigerii.com that he is undecided about his future with the team.
Garba’s contract with the Nigeria Football Federation has reportedly run out and the governing body is not willing to extend it, given the Flying Eagles’ unexpected early exit in New Zealand.
“Whether I will still be with the Flying Eagles or go into something else, I don’t know for now,” Garba told completesportsnigeria.com on Saturday. “It’s left for God to decide my future, it’s only him that will decide where I will be.”
The former Golden Eaglets handler went on to reiterate that he never collected money from any player ahead of the U-20 World Cup. He has denied the allegations of bribery several times, but still felt the need to voice his denial to completesportsnigeria.com.
“Since I started this job, right from the U-17 to the U-20, I have never collected a single dime from anybody. I know there are a lot of people looking for this job, but I know what I have achieved in my career, the records are there for everyone to see,” an obviously angry Garba added.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
