–Warri Wolves star says they are going for 3points against Sudan
Warri Wolves forward Gbolahan Salami is confident that the Super Eagles will win both ties against Sudan in Omdurman and Abuja respectively despite their poor start to the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Salami who scored on his return to the Eagles in their 3-2 loss to Congo in Calabar stated that the reigning AFCON champions won’t be playing for a draw in the encounter.
“Going to Sudan will not be about seeking for a draw, no, the target is to get the maximum points and also win here at home.”
“I’m confident that the games against Sudan will be very good for us.” he said.
Salami who is now joint top scorer with Rangers Ighodaro Osaguna with 14 goals also praised the technical crew for supporting the home-based players.
“The coaches do a lot to encourage the players to go all out in all the games we play. Especially for the home based players, we get a lot of encouragement from the coaches, they always spur us on.
“The encouragement is always very high and it really makes you want to give your best at every time,” he concluded.
