Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs says that I his former club must try and stop Eden Hazard to stand a chance of winning this season’s Emirates FA Cup final.
United will hope to avenge their 2007 FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea when both teams clash in Saturday’s final at Wembley Stadium.
Giggs was in action for United back then as they went down to a Didier Drogba late extra-time goal.
Speaking on MUTV (Manchester United’s TV), Giggs, a four-time FA Cup winner with United, also singled out Willian as another Chelsea player that must be contained.
“It is an important day because coming second in the Premier League and winning the FA Cup is a successful season.
“You always want to end the season with a trophy because it gives you a good feeling over the summer and you can’t wait to get back for next year.
“I think it is a 50/50 game because these are two teams with special players who can win it for them in a moment.
“If you can keep Eden Hazard quiet then I always think you have a great chance against Chelsea. Of course, Willian is a special player as well, so if you can keep both them quiet then you have a chance.
“United have some special players as well. Marcus Rashford scored at the weekend, Alexis Sanchez is coming into form and starting to look good, and we’re hoping Romelu Lukaku can make the final.
“It will be won and lost with the special players. Those forwards can make the difference.”
United will be hoping to land their 13th FA Cup title which will see them equal Arsenal who hold the record for the most FA Cup title wins (13).
