–Giwa camp await football house to comply
Board member of the Chris Giwa-led Nigeria Football Federation executive committee, Sani Fema claims they have finally served the Aminu Maigari-led NFF executive with the court order restraining them (Maigari and Co.) from ‘further parading themselves as the President and members of the Executive Committee of the NFF pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice filed.
The Giwa camp had alleged that the Maigari camp refused to be served the notice, and went on to hold their Annual General Assembly in Warri, despite the court order stopping the Congress.
But the Maigari camp denied being served any court documents, and didn’t see any reason not to hold the General Assembly.
However, Fema has told SL10.ng that the court injunction has finally reached the Glass House, and they expect the Maigari camp to comply.
”We have finally served them the court order and we expect them to comply. They have refused to be served the court order since last week, but we have finally gotten the papers across to them. They brought police men to stop the order from being delivered but it has finally been delivered,” he claimed.
SL10 can however report that police men were seen at the Glass House on Monday, searching any unrecognized persons. They refused to disclose the reason for the search, or what they were searching for, but there were claims that they were under instructions not to allow the court documents to be delivered.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of the NFF, Musa Amadu refused to comment on the situation.
