Nigeria’s queen of the tracks, Blessing Okagbare raced into the semi-finals of the Women’s 200 m of the Athletics event of the 2014 Comonwealth Games on Wednesday night.
The semi-final race will be ran tomorrow, 31 July.
The 100m gold medallist achieved this feat when she coasted home to a time of 22.99.
Nigerian-born Catherine Eke who now represents Sierra Leone came a disappointing 7th in the race.
The trio of Anniesha McClaughan (Jamaica), Crystal Emmanuel (Canada) and Ella Nelson (Canada) are other strong candidates for a place in the final of the 200m when they step out onto the track alongside Okagbare.
