The 2015/2016 Glo Premier League season will not kick off until after the African Nations Championship in January, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The home-based Super Eagles side will participate in the competition alongside 15 other countries, from January 16 to February 7, 2016 in Rwanda.
The CHAN is designed or senior players plying their trade in their country's domestic leagues.
Matches in the Glo Premier League were postponed during the qualifiers which affected the calendar.
Completesportsnigeria.com scooped that the League Management Company is looking at the possibility of the commencing the new season until after the competition to avoid postponement as notable clubsides like Enyimba, Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars and Rangers will have some of their key players in the CHAN squad.
Enyimba won the 2014/2015 title and were rewarded with N30m by the LMC for the feat.
