–Fenerbahce star apologises for incident with Emre
Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike says he feels worry for not able to score more than a goal since the commencement of the ongoing season.
The African Cup of Nations top goalscorer has admitted that he is worried by his recent goal drought, having netted just once in his last 16 matches for club and country.
“In the last game, I was not supposed to react, I made a mistake. I was stressed because I had not scored a goal. I was not supposed to do it. And I apologize to the President, coach, captain Emre and the fans, ‘’ Emenike was quoted as saying by the Turkish Press.
Meanwhile, the Fenerbahce striker has apologized to the supporters of the Istanbul outfit for his behaviour during the Super Lig clash against Gaziantepspor last weekend.
Before he made way for Pierre Webo just before the hour mark, there was an argument between the Nigeria international and Captain Emre Belözo, which angered the supporters of the Yellow Canaries.
He continued: ‘’In Spartak Moscow, I played in the starting lineup but said I wanted to leave. I was not allowed to do this. I begged the coach of Spartak for some days.’’
‘’I rejected all other offers. I did everything to play for Fenerbache. Please do not forget about it.”
Emmanuel Emenike was a forlorn figure after Sunday’s clash, and showed his frustration by kicking the dressing room doors.
