Nigeria’s Suwaibidu Galadima has won gold in the men’s T47 100m at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
T47 is a disability sports classification for athletes with disability primarily for competitors with a wrist or below amputation.
Galadima recorded a time of 11.04 seconds to win the final on Friday.
James Arnott from England won silver with a time of 11.30 seconds while Jamaica’s Tevaughan came third to win bronze with a time of 11.63 seconds.
Meanwhile, Stephen Mozia failed to win a medal in the the men’s discus throw after placing seventh in Friday’s final with a throw 59.58m.
Fedrick Dacres from Jamaica won gold, setting a new games record with a throw of 68.20m.
